How to legally start a home-based business?
I wanted to start a small, local home-based business for PC repair. I’m 19, I’m in college and I want to work in the PC repair field bad enough, I have the thought if I can’t get in somewhere else, I’ll do it all on my own. But how can I legally do any this? I know there are permits/licenses, taxes etc.
I’m not looking to open a shop, I’ve got a small place in my basement cleaned out just for this purpose. I charge cheap rates (10 if you bring it to me, 15 if i go to you, and 25 if i leave town)… all those rates are per hour. Is it too small to make legal? If not, what do I do?
I’m from Massachusetts also, if that matters.
